COLTS IN FINE FORM FOR SEASON FINALE

WIDNES rugby players are hoping some of Rowland’s award winning ways will rub off on them – by donning a brand new kit.

The Colts are stepping out in new jerseys thanks to sponsorship from Rowland, the developer responsible for Worrall Gardens, in Farnworth – and winner of Best Luxury Development in the recent Daily Telegraph Your New Home awards.

The under 19s team, whose home ground is on Heath Road, are geared up for a triumphant end to the season by qualifying for the Lancashire Cup Final, thanks to a little inspiration in quality and style from Rowland.

Club President Ivor Lewis said: “This sponsorship from Rowland not only ensures the lads can travel to games, but compete looking smart and corporate, which can only boost their confidence and reflect well on the club. We rely heavily on the support of local businesses and are very grateful for Rowland’s show of community spirit and commitment to investing in the area in which it is building.

“It’s fantastic to form this partnership with Rowland – one of the most well known developers in the region. It would be even more fantastic if we can emulate their recent winning ways!”

Commenting on the sponsorship, Paul Rowley, Rowland’s managing director, said: “It gives us great pleasure to support initiatives in local communities. The secret to success in any business, or sport is good teamwork, so we hope our partnership with Widnes Rugby Club proves fruitful both on and off the pitch.”

Founded in 1993, Rowland is now celebrating its 15th year of trading and is on track to achieve 300 unit completions and a £60 million turnover this financial year.

The Leyland based developer enjoyed a string of award successes last year, claiming Best Apartment in the What House awards and Best Luxury development for Fairlawns in the Your New Home Awards. Paul Rowley was also named Entrepreneur Magazine’s Property Entrepreneur of the Year for the third time in four years.
